2018 has been a fantastic year for me as a magician reasons. One of the main reasons it’s been such a great year is that I was hired for twice as many events than in 2017 but tomorrow will be my last performance.
Before anyone starts messaging me, it’s not my last performance ever. It’s just my last performance of 2018. I’m not planning to put away my bag of tricks just yet. In fact, I’m planning to travel more in 2019. I plan to be the best magician in the UK. Providing a better service than any other magician for the best value to corporate events. Unparalleled intimate entertainment at smaller events and the most memorable entertainment for fun events like weddings and birthdays.
What To Expect In 2019
In early 2019 I’ll be working at two major conferences! Using magic to help showcase certain products and highlight the advantages of business’ utilising magic. It’s an exciting area to venture in to and though it won’t be without it’s challenges I know spending days on a stand drawing the crowds will be rewarding. There’ll likely be thousands of people attending. If you know a business exhibiting at a conference in 2018 it’s worth suggesting they contact me to create something special for them.
I have various exciting projects in the works for 2019. One thing I’m looking at doing is creating a magic show. A show for small audiences to experience a real sense of impossible magic. It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for quite a while now. It’s been almost five years since I produced my own show! After posting on Facebook and Instagram about being unwell during December some people I’ve worked with before reached out to me and it feels like the right time to put my years of experience as one of the UK best magicians in to an evening of magic. First details will likely appear in my newsletter, which you can sign up for on the main page at www.scottperrymagic.com.
All in all, it’s a successful 2018 under my belt and half way in to my second year living in Leeds. Now it’s now time to kick things up a gear, but all in good time. Rome wasn’t built in a day after all.
Looking To The Future
However, one thing I think you will see less of in 2019 is a social media presence. I will still post to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter but I’ve found in the last two years that I’ve been burning myself out. Trying to create amazing content but that people don’t pay much attention to. I’m not famous and don’t have thousands of followers so if feels like a waste of time. The videos I create take a lot of time, cost me money and don’t get me booked for events. So in 2019 there will be more time spent in real life. Concentrating on connecting with real people and having real experiences. After all, with the uncertainty of Brexit and the increasing pressure to outsource jobs to robots, there will probably be a lot of people who could do with some magic in their life.
I wish you all a prosperous 2019, an unforgettable New Years and most of all happiness and health for the foreseeable future.
